Tim and Jules, the company’s co-founders, were on vacation in the mountains in 1988 when they unexpectedly ran out of money. Instead of going skiing during the day, they decided to make some t-shirts and hoodies to market at night. The moniker “FatFace” was derived from the name of a challenging black diamond ski run in Val d’Isère.
The clothes they’re donning are functional necessities for the journey. FatFace designs clothes to be worn in everyday life, celebrating the big and small wins that make up to a good time. They’ve travelled the globe and brought back a refined, British aesthetic with them. The long-term health of the product, the ecosystem, and the community are all considered during decision-making.
