In 1988, their co-founders Tim and Jules were having a great time on the slopes, but they ran out of money. So they came up with a plan: print some sweatshirts and t-shirts, sell them at night, and ski during the day. FatFace got its moniker from La Face, a black diamond ski run in Val d’Isère.
The clothes they wear are travel essentials. FatFace makes clothes to be worn in, to be worn on the daily experiences that make life worth living and to make you grin. Their well studied British style is influenced by the world around them. They strive to make decisions that are long-term benefits for their product, the environment, and their local community. Although this is a continuous process, this fall’s collection is their most eco-friendly to date.
